I usually make my own Meal plan for the week as it keeps me in check and makes sure that I don’t go over budget when doing my shopping. I have decided to write down my meal plans for the week, mainly to keep me on plan (I do Slimming World) and to share with you a typical weeks menu is in our household.

There can be anything between 2 and 7 people in my house for meals during a typical week, depending how many of our children decide to eat at home.

I plan most meals to cover several people and if I happen to have leftovers, then they can be tubbed up and either eaten the following lunchtime or frozen for future use. I also plan them from Saturday to the following Friday as I usually do my food shopping on a Saturday or Sunday.

The Meal plan will cover everything that I cook and eat, but the kids may make something different for breakfast or if they have something on. Having children between the ages of 8 and 19 in the house can sometimes be chaos!

I always shop with a budget though, and you get get my FREE meal planner below to keep you on track. All of these meals are as inexpensive as possible or I wouldn’t plan them.

Here is my meal plan for next week starting 18th August 2018. School days may be different, but at the moment we are in the school holidays.

 DAY BREAKFAST LUNCH DINNER
SATURDAY TOAST OR CEREAL EAT OUT CURRY & RICE
SUNDAY BACON & EGG SANDWICH SALAD ROAST CHICKEN & VEG
MONDAY FRUIT/ TOAST/ CEREAL HAM SALAD OR BAKED POTATO PASTA BAKE
TUESDAY POACHED EGGS, SPINACH, BEANS, TOAST, MUSHROOMS LEFT OVER PASTA BAKE JERK CHICKEN WITH RICE AND PEAS
WEDNESDAY FRUIT & YOGHURT SALAD OR OMLETTE SMOKEY SPANISH MEATBALLS WITH POTATAS BRAVAS
THURSDAY HIFI BAR & FRUIT AFTER WEIGH IN NAKED NOODLE POT & FRUIT JACKET POTATO WITH BEANS & CHEESE
FRIDAY WAFFLES & FRUIT SHOP BOUGHT SALAD AS A TREAT PIZZA CHICKEN
