Black Friday Deals 2018

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday

Black Friday is what is known in the USA as the day after Thanksgiving day. This is the ‘official’ day that they will start their Christmas shopping, the start of the Christmas season!

This day originated in the 1950’s and wasn’t recognised until much later than that as ‘Black Friday’.

What better way than to start the Christmas shopping season with a good Black Friday sale.

When is Black Friday 2018?

This year Black Friday is on 23rd November 2018.

What can we expect to find in the Black Friday Sales?

Electricals, Technology, Computers and Games, Small Appliances, Perfume, Clothing & Trainers and baby equipment are all very popular and can have huge reductions attached to them.

I will be keeping track of the cheapest places to find the ‘must haves’ this year via my Facebook Daily Deals page, so this is worth looking at in the run up to Friday as many stores have started their deals already.

I would also recommend joining a cash back site such as Quidco or Topcashback to do your shopping through so that you also get some more money back from your purchases.

As a Brit living in America I find it really odd how the UK is picking up on these things. Proms were never a thing but seems most schools do this also now. Not 100% sure it’s a good thing, the Americanization of England.

I never shop on Black Friday for the simple reason that typically my Christmas shopping is already done by then. This year is no different, so I will just be spending that day with my family! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving.

I have never tried to go to a Black Friday and I think this is the best time for me to do my shopping list and go ready into this date.

Growing up, we use to participate in Black Friday because my family was from Philly where it started. We loved getting the latest fashions at the best deals.
